Spring Hope

For students

Required space: School classroom

Duration: 1 hour and 15 mins

Ages: 4 - 8 years old

The programme’s aim  is to help children understand the importance of believing and actually doing “the right thing”. Beyond the fun and creative value of the programme, the fairy tale teaches the young audience the duty of resisting violence and unfairness.

The programme consists of 3 stages:

Α)  “Spring hope”   (dramatized fairy tale)
Anna Papamarkou, the tale’s author will travel the children on the wings of imagination and interactive narration, all the way from Winter to Spring time, enriching their experience with melody, music and beautiful songs.

Β)  “Adorning Spring”   (artistic workshop)
A groupwork activity where children will create together a beautiful picture of Spring which they will keep at the end of the session to decorate their classroom with.

C)  “The Maypole”   (singing and dancing)
The children will dance to the rhythm of traditional music around an ornate, colorful ribboned pole, reliving a old custom of many countries.
